Light

NOTE: This is not tweaked in any way; this is the way the light was rotating through these glass cubes.

In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don't. ~~Blaise Pascal

For those of you wondering, I changed the original to sepia, then poster edged it.

Country people tend to consider that they have a corner on righteousness and to distrust most manifestations of cleverness, while people in the city are leery of righteousness but ascribe to themselves all manner of cleverness. ~~Edward Hoagland

Not MY home....

If we could only make our hands move as actively as our tongues, what wonders we could accomplish! Almost everyone loves to hear his own voice. It is so easy, too! Yet if we could say less and do more for each other's good, not alone would every home be happier, but communities would he enriched thereby. Instead of criticism by speech, to show someone a better way to do a thing would be of much greater value.~~John Wanamaker

Creative Photography

Didn't win AGAIN last week in Roger's Creative Photography Contest, but I did place. SO, this week, I introduce you to "Purple Sky". I saturated the color, and the hues. Enjoy!

Imagination has brought mankind through the dark ages to its present state of civilization. Imagination led Columbus to discover America. Imagination led Franklin to discover electricity. Imagination has given us the steam engine, the telephone, the talking-machine, and the automobile, for these things had to be dreamed of before they became realities. So I believe that dreams--daydreams, you know, with your eyes wide open and your brain machinery whizzing--are likely to lead to the betterment of the world. The imaginative child will become the imaginative man or woman most apt to invent, and therefore to foster, civilization. ~~L. Frank Baum

Travelling Light(ly)

Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind.

Honest Abe!!!

We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses. ~~Abraham Lincoln

Chuck asked me how I did the pumpkin for my weekly entry into the contest. To make sure I told Chuck the right way, I did this rose as I wrote out the directions. I hope you enjoy it!

Creative Photography

Hi, everyone! I've decided to start yet ANOTHER blog, this one for my photos. :) I am really feeling that God is pulling the wannabe site to be more than just a journal, so I want to move my contest entries, fluffy photos, and just any photo I feel like sharing HERE. :)

This is this week's entry into Roger's Creative Photography contest. :) I placed again last week, but still have that elusive win out there somewhere.... :D

If you want to ever know the story behind a photo, please ask!!! I'll probably explain this blog a little more later on, but the contest ends tomorrow - so I gotta get busy! :D

So, here it is: this week's entry into the Creative Photography contest!
